Customized Competency Practice Tests in Houston and Algorithm-Driven Solutions for Clinicians

In 2019, a group of partners collaborated to create an innovative company focused on providing competency testing and educational support to clinicians and contingent talent staffing companies. They developed an original algorithm to offer customized competency testing based on clinicians’ disciplines and specialties. They worked with clinicians from the Clinical Advisory Team and IT programmers to create an algorithm-driven competency testing platform for competency practice tests in Houston.

Why should we develop an algorithm testing platform? Clinicians and staffing companies spend significant time preparing for placement and determining testing requirements for each clinician. However, with the implementation of an algorithm structure, this time can be greatly reduced. The algorithm can determine the required testing for clinicians and create a single test that covers all necessary competency components. This platform was designed using algorithms for over 300 disciplines and specialties, allowing for customized testing for clinicians and staffing companies. Focused on ease of use for the end users, the platform is simple yet ingenious. After two years of development, Competency Exchange was officially formed in 2020. The company partnered with a Marketing and Strategic Planning Firm to create a Playbook and plan for the launch. Over the next two years focused on developing the algorithm-driven platform and business development, including social media and website development. Completing a potential customer list of over 1,000 companies, we recruited beta customers to test the platform’s functionality and continued beta testing throughout the year, making necessary improvements. By the end of 2022, our platform had gained significant visibility. We successfully tested it with our clinical partners, receiving overwhelmingly positive reviews. This feedback reaffirmed the value and potential of our platform in the healthcare and staffing industry and reassured us of its future success.
